What a way to start the day. Top story on CNN this morning, Dimebag Darrell shot dead at Columbus nightclub.
Senselessly, violently and quickly, another legend has been snatched from the earth before his time came. Dimebag Darrell influenced an entire generation as the lead guitarist of Pantera, and was in the midst of moving on to what could have been bigger, better things when he was killed.
You’ll be missed, Dimebag.

Couldn’t agree with you more, Ian. Dimebag will be missed by millions. At least they killed the guy that shot Dime. Hero to millions, enemy to one. Shows how one in a million sometimes comes through. As a guitar player myself, I was influenced by him, along with the same ones that influenced him, such as Eddy Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Perry, Ace Frehley, etc.
